Construction Project

We began this construction project over 10 years ago.    We did most of the construction ourself, working on the weekends and late at night.  I had an excuse to shop for antiques to use as vanities.  The kitchen counter is unpolished marble.  We made many trips to Mexico for the Saltillo tile. The 10-inch-wide pine planks came from East Texas. Solid pine doors are used throughout the house.  The walk-in pantry has an antique door.  The custom-made mesquite entrance door has a "speakeasy" door.  The walk-in closet has a built-in gun safe.

There are three bedrooms downstairs with a split floor plan. There are two bedrooms upstairs; on each side of the loft.  One bedroom has four beds.  Since Randy has traveled all over Mexico and even slept in hammocks, there are hammock hooks in one of the bedrooms, in the sun room and on the porch.
Enjoy resting in a hammock with the South Texas breeze.

The garage apartment has two bedrooms and one bath.  We lived there while building the house. It has a large deck which overlooks the Arroyo Colorado.  The view from the kitchen window is spectacular.
